A childhood dream of a "nobody"
Ive always been surrounded my music, singing any song I could catch onto since I was five, belting Johnathan & Charlotte, James Blunt & Keane. After meeting one of my closest friends when I was seven, my music knowledge & exposure expanded, from early 2000s classics like Avril Lavigne, to Classic rock & metal like System of A Down, Rob Zombie & many, many others. He'd always call me superstar as I wanted to be an Actress & part of me was always drawn to singing & making music. I always spent a lot of time listening to all kinds of genres (my Spotify wrapped for 2024 was 120k minutes & 118K in 2025 as I integrate elsewhere). I found comfort in feeling there.
Music saved me. At my lowest points & darkest times, music gave me hope. I spent hours in my room playing songs while holding onto my guitar for dear life. Self-taught at thirteen & two years of vocal coaching, I became interested in writing & producing my own songs.
I failed badly the first time. I couldn't write anything. A couple years pass to 2022, I fell into a dark point again. While struggling to cope, I clung to my guitar again, only to find the words & the chords could finally come out, even if it was a raw mess the first few tries. Writing became my diary, my outlet, & my way to relate & connect with people deeply one-by-one. So, I jumped back to my computer, opened Cubase again & learned how to produce over the past couple years with a lot of help from Youtube & musician friends Ive made along the way.
Since 2024, Ive been playing provincially around New Brunswick, Canada & soon will expand to the Maritimes & so on. Maybe Im foolish to dream, but its better to dream than have no hope. With my love for all genres, Ive created & released bedroom pop, acoustic pop, gothic rock & done commissions in between. I love trying everything, but my love will always be primarily gothic rock, secondly acoustic pop.Thank you for reading & following my journey, I hope my music has a place in your heart & brings you some peace :)
